Our approach
Nowsen is designed to provide useful context without building a profile about you. The core recommendation engine runs on your device. We do not sell personal information, serve advertising, or use cross-app tracking.
Information the app uses
Calendar
With your permission, Nowsen reads upcoming calendar events to determine what matters next. Calendar titles, times, and locations are processed on your device and are not transmitted to a Nowsen server.
Location and weather
With your permission, Nowsen rounds the device location to about two decimal places and uses it only to request a local forecast from Apple Weather. Apple states that WeatherKit location is used only to provide the forecast, is not linked to personal information, and is not tracked between requests. Nowsen stores the most recent rounded coordinates in the app's private shared container so its Home Screen widget and background refresh can remain useful.
Notifications
If enabled, notifications are scheduled on your device for timely cues. You can disable them in iOS Settings at any time.
Accounts, analytics, and tracking
Version 1.0 does not require an account, does not include third-party advertising, and does not use tracking technologies. The app does not operate a server-side personal profile.
Retention
Context snapshots and the most recent rounded coordinates remain in the app's private container and are replaced as the app refreshes. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data subject to standard iOS backup behavior.
Your choices
You may grant or withdraw Calendar, Location, and Notification access in iOS Settings. Nowsen remains usable with reduced context when a permission is unavailable.
Children
Nowsen is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under the minimum digital-consent age in their jurisdiction.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated in the app.
